Hey Monday : Cassadee Pope

So a few days ago, browsing YouTube for updates on my subscriptions as well as scrolling through buzznet, I saw an article about Cassadee Pope auditioning for The Voice! So who is Cassadee Pope? She's the front girl of a band called Hey Monday. One of the many bands that I enjoy listening to.

I was so excited and couldn't wait to watch her audition, cause it's been awhile since her band Hey Monday had any new songs. And now that she's going solo, I'm eager to hear more songs from her! Such a gorgeous girl with a unique voice!

Hey Monday's first single "Homecoming" released in 2008 when Cassadee was about 19 years old!

Cassadee all grown up now and looking gorgeous, singing her beautiful version of Natalie Imbruglia's "Torn".

I want to have hair like hers! Rooting for her to make it to the finals of The Voice!

Photobooth Props - DIY part 2

I am now a believer that in every occasion, party, event ... photo props are a must have! They just add a little more fun into the usual I-don't-know-what-pose-to-do moments.

Being the Tumblr and Pinterest junkie that I am, I've been exposed to so many cute photo props and also collected some websites that provided templates to print and cut. But since I don't own a printer I decided I would try my best to draw them myself while staring at the templates on my laptop screen.

There is was, the opportunity staring at me, Angelic Kellster's Hen Night in planning. Time to make some photo props! Knowing that she loves taking photos, peeeeerfect!

I also decided to add on a few extra props for the Hen Night games and a special blue star wand for Angelic Kellster, which I forgot to mention in my earlier blog post
I also discovered that I accidentally threw out some parts of my stencils, guess I'll just make more soon.

Long awaited little parcel

Just another typical day of browsing around at online stores and Etsy, somehow either it was me or Angelic Kellster who stumbled upon some really cool iphone cases with logos from our favorite novels. Harry Potter for her and The Hunger Games for me!

We did not hesitate to get ourselves each a case after asking the Etsy store owner some questions about the material of the casing. And the waiting begins :D

The parcel finally arrived when I got home from work, and the store owner was so sweet to leave a little message along with a cute little rose ring for each of us! Angelic Kellster's Hen Night - 1st September 2012

The day that Angelic Kellster told me that she wants me to be involved in her Hen Night, I was excited yet scared since I've never attended or plan such an event before. After meeting some of her girlfriends in previous events and getting to know them all. The massive planning via emails have begun!

The very first email blasted out was dated waaaaaaay back in February 2012 so that we could all save the date. Though there were little ideas thrown around on the theme and stuff, since we know a few themes the bride-to-be would love but it could be quite a challenge to prepare as well. The massive planning only begun some time in May 2012, after the theme was selected.

It was a little messy at first as some of the girls could not make it due to personal reasons and but we manage to pull through and got everything ready just in time to surprise the bride-to-be! Fingers crossed on her having a blast!

First was the whole afternoon of talking nonsense and enjoying each other's time with a delicious lunch at Ben's.

Next we successfully trapped Angelic Kellster into getting her 'secret' hairdo done. We all joined in the fun too~

Then it was back to the hotel to chillax a little more before getting ready for the main event! If only there was video evidence of the mayhem during that time, all the running around and exploring of each others' make up collections ;p

Angelic Kellster is tying the knot!

Firstly I want to start of this post by stating the few reasons why I love the internet and social networks. If it weren't for the internet, blogger, msn or twitter. I would not have met the many new friends I have grown to love and loving being accepted to their crazy gang. I'm so grateful.

When Angelic Kellster revealed to me that she got engaged to her ultra talented Shutterbug Nigel, I was so excited! A dear friend of mine is getting married! Yay! And as the dates draw closer to THE DAY, is was time to receive The Invitation.

Knowing how Angelic Kellster is crazy over Disney Princesses, Fairytales and the color blue, it was not a surprise that either her wedding or her invitation will carry that theme. I love how the design on her invitation card came together, with little images that represents some of the Disney Princesses and the paper being aqua blue, also with a short lovely tale of the two love birds.

If you look closely you can spot little pictures that represents some of the Disney Princesses.

So a lot of the people that are close to me knows that I'm .... well .... kinda always hungry at most times. And everyday at work when it's about less than 2 hours before lunch I'd be crying "Hungry....feed me....."

And these two monkeys @kellster and @magnifuse decided to send me a video, to 'have lunch' with me...... cheeky =)

Literally a virtual lunch date!

I tried to make my own accessories ..

Just as this blog entry title says.......I attempted to try to make my own accessories out of felt. They turn out alright but I don't think I will wear any of them tonight to my dear school-mate's wedding.

After browsing online to find some samples or inspirations to begin my little impromptu project, I found 2 simple designs that I find are quite pretty. They are for sale at etsy and are made of felt.

After cutting and and putting the pieces together, I realized that I didn't have any chains left to attach to them...silly me....but I think they turn out alright, to pair with something simple and casual.

It's hard to pick a favorite sometimes.

I've been following dance reality show so you think you can dance closely since season 7 now. And every season I was able to pick a couple of favorites. But this year, season 9, I can't pick any!!

Last year for season 8, my favorites were easily Melanie and Marko. Season 9 I have grown a liking to all top 3 couples!

But for the top 3 guys...... Cole is so entertaining and could play any character, Chehon struggled a little but is a fighter and a crazy flying ballet dancer, Cyrus the animator....so lovable!

Now I can't wait for the finale where Chehon and Cyrus will dance each others butt off. I can feel that it's going to be quite interesting.

This happens to me way too often.

There are a lot of situations where I am suppose to stay alert and get working my butt off, but instead .....  I start to doze off. Probably not as cute as how this puppy does it though.

A little splurging now and then

I've always been a little terrified of going into Sephora. Because when it comes to skin care and cosmetics, I have no idea what I'm doing! O_O

I decided that I must get a blusher from benefit, can't deny that their packagings are so pretty! Even thought I do my research online about cosmetics and make up tutorials, I am totally clueless on what to pick. Since mascaras are that only stuff I wear often.

I gotta say it's great to have some girlfriends! Babe-licious @nowamunkie recommended that I try benefit's bella bamba 3D pink, since I love more natural blush, and this is her favorite as well. I've been using it everyday now since I got it and I love it!

@nowamunkie also recommended that I try fresh's Sugar Advanced Therapy lip balm since I mentioned that my sinus problems always cause my lips to crack. SUGAR lip balm is probably one of the most delicious smelling thing ever!!

Best splurge in less than 15 minutes! Sephora, I'll be back for some urban decay and OPI soon >,<

Photobooth props - DIY

The best part about taking photos are having some fun props to spark up more whacky and creative poses.

With having he honors to be part of my dear angelickellster's Hen Night. I decided to make some as a surprise. And boy was searching for bamboo sticks a struggle, only because I had no idea where to get them.

Daiso is the best! I manage to get a small pack of bamboo sticks! Although they were much slimmer than that size I hope for but they were strong enough.

And as usual, before I start crafting stuff with felt, I always like to make stencils and guides for easier future use.

They were so much fun to make! I'm going to make more just to stock up. Anyone have a clue on where I can get nice smooth sticks for DIY props?
