A Glimpse Of Eternity 14 & 15 April 2012

Last weekend was a hectic, crazy but also a fulfilling and fruitful. Our church had a huge production titled A Glimpse Of Eternity in English and Chinese Version.

Just a summary. A Glimpse Of Eternity tells a story about a young man who was close to death and had an outer body experience. God sent one of his Angel to take the young man for a visit to Hell and to Heaven.

It has been years since I actually volunteered to get involve in something this huge. My sweet friend Mika approached me and asked if I could help up with the make up for Demons, so I was thinking, 'Why not?' I've done this before. But who knew that there would be double role casts and dancers and believe me, monster make up is not easy to remove!

But I've done my research, and experiments and manage to find a great brand of body paint that wipes off easily with soap and water! Then came the costumes......it was a huge headache! They had to be easy to put on and taken off. If it weren't for the team helping out, the costumes wouldn't have turned out soooooo awesome!

Everyone involved worked tirelessly fine tuning every little detail till the very last minute, and Thank God everything went so smooth....it all ended too quick!

I didn't really get to watch the whole production play as I had to be backstage. But there was a small screen stationed near the dressing room for us to view but with no audio. But judging from the feedback and how happy our awesome Director Sook Leng, it went better than planned!

And now we are all suffering from post A.G.E. withdrawal......after having every weekend spent staying back at church rehearsing.....I don't think we really know what to do now that the production is over >,<

I would definitely volunteer again! It may be tiring, mind burning, exhausting, physically+mentally+emotional draining. But it the end, it's all well worth it!

Here is what went on backstage at the monster make up room :)
