Finally the glamorous and talented Adam Lambert is visiting our shores! And I am so glad I decided just days before the concert to go. At first I could not decide if i should go as I couldn't find any companions to go with. But eventually found out some friends who live nearby that are going so I desperately search around for people selling Rockzone tickets. Score!
Concert day, rushed to Bukit Jalil straight after work to meet up with Yat and Kel Li. 7pm and I was walking around checking out Glambert Fans all glam up and snapping photos. 8pm Yat finally arrived and I got to meet his lovely Daphne for the first time and it's into the concert hall! Got to meet a whole lot more of Yat's friends Joshua, Nigel, Jen, David, Ceddy,and Jason - and finally after tweeting and msn-ing with Kel Li, we finally met face to face!
The show kicked off with our local acts, Iqwal singing 'Down' by Jay Sean, also Danell Lee and Dennis Lau performing 'It's My Life' by Bon Jovi. Not long after was the highlight of the lovely evening. Adam Lambert takes the stage, enchanting us with his perfect voice, entertaining us with his talented crew of musicians and dancers...I wish i could find more of Tommy Joe Ratcliff's picture from that night. In case you are wondering who is Tommy? He's the handsome young man Adam kisses on stage when performing but they are not allowed to do in here in Malaysia =/

If I had not decided to go for this awesome concert that night, I would be kicking myself in the head with regret. It was an awesome night filled with entertainment and beautiful vocals. I had his voice ringing in my head for almost 2 days!

PARAMORE IS IN TOWN!! OMFG THE LONG AWAITED DAY IS HERE!!! This is round 2 of PARA-AWESOMENESS for me in 2010. Jenn and I arrived at approximately 12pm to queue. Yes we went early! We want to get a good view! After the long hours of rain and shine the gates finally opened. We got a good spot and an awesome view but after we later on went to the back where there was more space to rock out and head bang. I'll spare the details on why we went to the back.
People let me tell you this, especially Paramore fans that did not go to the concert, you made a huge mistake! Paramore never fails to put on a great performance and blow the crowd away with energy from the one and only dynamite Hayley Williams, which could not have done so without the help of her loving family Josh, Zac, Jeremy and Taylor!
Hayley loved the energy from the crowd, she even comment on stage "America should see this, this is sick!" Hayley also promised that they will never wait 6 years to come to Malaysia ever again. YAY! We didn't get much pictures of the concert, doing what we did also at Paramore's Singapore concert, we were just too darn busy enjoying ourselves.
Head banging, screaming, jumping, dancing, more head banging! All the muscle aches and still neck the next morning was TOTALLY WORTH IT!

29 Oct 2010Malaysia's 1st Craft Brews Beer FestivalThanks a bunch with lotsa love to Kel Li and Jen that Ryan and myself got to attend this festival for some beer tasting and great company. Yes, beer tasting. And I can say that Flying Dog Beer is really nice! I personally like the 'Dogy-style' (yes I know it sounds naughty) and 'Golden Ale' also not forgetting the 'Monster Green Lager. Beer tasting which is what we learned there with their freshly brewed, unfiltered beers which is much more foamy looking compared to our standard Heineiken and Carlsberg. First we hold up our beers to the light to view the color, then we swirl the beer, take a nice whiff of the fragrant, take a big sip and let it sit on our tongue for 3 seconds and then gulp it...yumm! i mean...CHEERS~!! The 'Dogy-Style' has a sweet laici scent and fruity flavor which is simply lovely! 'Golden Ale' on the other hand is really smooth and refreshing, suitable for a hot day. And last but not least the 'Monster Green Lager', which the beer is green in color, but it's very refreshing and sweet tasting. Plus many more others that I tried which I can't recall the names and taste. But these 3 are what stands out to me the most. |
